The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Political Parties Programme is proud to announce the second session of the KAS School for Young Politicians (KASYP) 2025, taking place 14 – 20 September 2025 at the University of Pretoria’s Digital Capability Lab in Hatfield, Pretoria. Under the theme “Building Democratic Capacity – One Person at a Time,” this session will build on the foundations laid during the first training in April and May, deepening participants’ understanding of political communication, campaign strategy, and democratic governance.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in Campaign & Communications Training, Policy Engagement and various other topics with Dr. Heather Thuynsma. Additionally, experts such as Ray Hartley and Matthias Schaefer will respectively discuss topics ranging from protecting democracy to job creation and technology policy. The September session marks the culmination of the 2025 programme, with participants presenting their financing pitches, refining their leadership skills, and connecting with peers to strengthen democratic capacity across Sub-Saharan Africa.

KASYP is more than a training – it is an investment in the future of democracy. By empowering young leaders with knowledge and practical tools, we contribute to more inclusive, accountable, and resilient political systems. This session of KASYP is brought together in association with ENoP and WYDE Political Parties, funded by the European Union.

Stay tuned for updates, highlights, and insights from the week as we continue to nurture the next generation of political leaders.
