Each year, our EKLA Regional Program implements projects related to climate change and energy transition in different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. This work is done hand in hand with different partners in the region, both for the realization of events, research, publications, workshops, training, among others. Therefore, it is important that our partners are clearly aware of EKLA's work and that they are involved in the feedback and detailed planning of the projects.

Thus, in an atmosphere of fellowship and learning, the EKLA 2023 Partners Meeting was held on January 26 and 27 in Lima (Peru), where the projects carried out in 2022 were evaluated and those for 2023 were planned. We were accompanied by partners from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Guatemala and Peru. The event had 2 defined parts. A closed workshop with the participation of all and a series of bilateral meetings with each partner.

The meeting of counterparts served to recount the activities and achievements obtained in 2022 from the vision of EKLA-KAS, as well as from the vision of our partners who participated actively presenting in detail the activities carried out and achievements from their perspectives.

Likewise, the event also served to give scope on the administrative rules for the use of international cooperation funds, to visualize the progress in social networks and, of course, to interact with each other in order to strengthen the exchange networks between EKLA-KAS partner organizations.

The bilateral meetings served to establish the new objectives per project for 2023 with each partner, as well as to find opportunities for improvement and synergies to achieve greater impact and scope.

The 2023 Partners Meeting has been an important element to strengthen Latin American cooperation with innovation and security in pursuit of the EKLA-KAS objectives and thus contribute to sustainable development in the region.
