Since its inception, 18 cohorts have successfully completed the Academy, carrying the knowledge they acquired into politics, society, and administration. Building on this foundation, the 19th cohort now continues the Academy’s tradition. Last weekend, the kickoff seminar for the new participants began in Zagreb. Srećko Prusina, Chairman of the ZHDZ Board, Dr. Norbert Eschborn, Director of the KAS Foreign Office for Croatia and Slovenia, and Ivo Ivančić, Head of the Political Academy, welcomed the attendees and introduced them to the program.
Following the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Jörn Dosch, Professor of International Relations and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Rostock, Germany, delivered the opening lecture titled “What Role Does Europe Play in the New Geopolitical Context?”. In his speech, he highlighted the current challenges and opportunities facing the European Union within a changing international order. After this inspiring start, the participants began their regular courses, including modules on Media and Politics as well as Leadership.
Through this project, ZHDZ and KAS make an important contribution to promoting democratic values, fostering a clear European orientation, and training the next generation of political leaders in Croatia.
