This year's summer school focused on the theme of "Political Communication." A key highlight was the lecture by Dr. Tomislav Ćorić, Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank, who analyzed the economic impacts of the war in Ukraine on Croatia and the European Union.
Dr. Norbert Eschborn, Director of the KAS Croatia and Slovenia Office, participated as a speaker in several parts of the program. Together with communication experts, he discussed the importance of political speeches and appearances, as well as the handling of politicians' public images in the media. In interactive simulation exercises, participants had the opportunity to apply and further develop their theoretical knowledge in practice.
In addition to the substantive contributions, the 34th edition of the newspaper Akademičar – a project created by the participants themselves – was presented. The event was characterized by intense exchange, practice-oriented training, and the shared goal of preparing future political leaders for their responsibilities.
The Summer School of the Political Academy remains an important pillar in the political education of young, engaged individuals in Croatia and a strong symbol of the close cooperation between the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Croatian Statehood Foundation.
