Participants took part in a series of insightful and interactive lectures, workshops, and exercises aimed at strengthening women’s political and societal competencies. Prof. Dr. Vlatko Cvrtila, Rector of VERN University, gave a lecture on the creation of laws and public policies, providing participants with an understanding of how laws are developed, implemented, and applied in practice.
Dr. Norbert Eschborn, Director of the KAS Croatia and Slovenia Office, gave a lecture on women in politics and the formation of the new federal government in Germany led by the CDU. During the session, participants learned about the importance of women in political work and the percentage of women involved in politics across the EU, Germany, and Croatia.
Ljiljana Drenški Cvrtila, a communication expert, spoke about political management and professional conduct in politics and business. She introduced key communication tools and strategies to help women succeed in their political and professional careers.
On the final day of the seminar, participants worked with Prof. Dr. Ivan Tanta from the University of Dubrovnik on public speaking and interview simulations. These practical exercises helped enhance their communication skills and confidence in public appearances.
The “Women in Politics” seminar is part of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s ongoing efforts to empower women in public life and to promote a democratic and responsible society.
