The Adenauer Media Leaders Academy (AMLA) 2021 is the first networking event for all current students and alumni of the Adenauer Fellowship. Unfortunately, since the event can only be held online, the participants will not be able to particiapte in person. Nevertheless, the change to the online version of the event has a clear advantage: all scholarship holders and alumni of the Adenauer Fellowship, here in numbers 250+, are invited to the two-day conference, which has never been possible before as the in-person events are limited to a certain number of participants.

During the two-day online event, there will be expert presentations on topics such as: "Media in a State of Emergency During the Pandemic" and "The Dos and Don'ts of Crisis Reporting: Experiences from Afghanistan, Iraq, Eastern Europe", as well as two guided and two open networking sessions for all participants. Both networking sessions will be carried out by fellows of the Adenauer Fellowship.

With the online session, we hope to bring the fellows and alumni closer together and to use the opportunities and advancements that digital networking has become through the travel-restrictions of the pandemic.
