The development of online and mobile media has impulsed a deep change in our news consumption habits. Concurrently, the world's economic crisis is putting to a severe test the traditional newspaper's business model. Newsrooms worldwide are consequently looking for higher efficiencies and exploring new revenue sources for securing their future. This presentation will give a brief overview of some of the most innovative and successful attempts made so far for re inventing journalism in the multi media era.
Gilles Demptos is business development director at IFRA Asia and editor of Asian Newspaper Focus, a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to the Asian newspaper industry.
IFRA is the worldwide research and service organisation for the news publishing industry.
