In partnership with the World Press Photo (WPP) and The Straits Times, the Media Programme Asia was proud to present the 2022 World Press Photo Exhibition and Workshop series. Aside from the showcase of WPP award winners, this year’s workshops drew focus on the challenges of reporting in a post truth world.

We were honored to have World Press Photo Award Winner Louie Palu (Canada) conduct a workshop with a first-hand account of the events leading up to the 2020 US election, beginning with former president Donald Trump’s first impeachment and ending with the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

And also, Matthias Heng (Singapore) who conducted a workshop on the challenges he faced on the ground while chronicling the initial months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
