Numerous traditional and religious leaders from the northern part of Nigeria – among them is the current president as well as almost all living former presidents and several emirs – are meeting on a retreat to discuss which contribution they can make to the consolidation of the Nigerian democracy, which turns 10 years in these days.

The speakers are leading intellectuals and politicians of the country, for example a former vice-president, a head of senate and others.

The retreat will be held together with the Ashcraft - Center for Democracy and Legislative Development.
