The level of education of women in Nigeria, especially in the northern parts where Kaduna is located, is often very low, especially in the Islamic north-eastern part of the country, up to 80 per cent of the women and girls are illiterate.

Accordingly, that is why an active involvement of women in the political process as citizen, voter, or even as politician, is rare. Far too few women are present in the State, as well as National Assembly.
