The first training took place from December 3-4, 2013 in the KAS office, Abuja. The second part of the training was in Moderation Techniques and took place from December 5-6, 2013, also at the KAS office.

Amongst the participants were our various partners from Civil Society Organizations as well as Government partners and partners from Universities.

The training was conducted by Mr. Jan Rogge, an international consultant, who asked the question of whether one can manage what one cannot measure. From there, he went on to the bottom-line of each organization, on to the theory of change. He also trained on how to measure results and how to develop a monitoring and evaluation plan in an organization.

The second part of the training concerned the moderation skills of our partners. Moderation, leading through discussions and facilitation of programs, entails a lot of skills for which a good moderator needs special training to be able to achieve good results. These skills and methods were the focus of this training.

Everybody learned something new and the exchange of ideas and knowledge among the partners was an important part of the training program.
