Census 2021: Reflecting the multiethnic and multi-religious character of the society

On May 9, the discussion "Census 2021: Reflecting the multiethnic and multi-religious character of the society" was held. The event was organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in close cooperation with the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "St. Clement of Ohrid” and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences from Skopje. About forty participants, students of theology, representatives of religious communities, experts in the field of religion and other interested parties took part in discussing the results of the census.

On 05 and 13 April, KAS in cooperation with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies from Brussels, the Institute for Social Research - MK91 from Skopje, University of St. Clement of Ohrid in Bitola and the Faculty of Law at the University "Goce Delchev" in Stip organized two lectures in the frame of the Cathedra Adenauer 2022.

Book presentation and academic discussion

On 09 March, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation together with the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Bitola organized an academic discussion on the topic: “Current security challenges and risks of North Macedonia and the Region”. On this occasion our joint publication on "Fundamentals of Security - Conceptual Security Approaches" by professor Marjan Gjurovski was presented to the public.

On 15 February 2022, a presentation was held on the "Analysis of the legal framework and institutional capacities of the local environmental inspection services". The analysis was prepared by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Centre for Legal Research and Analysis.

Creating a European Municipality: Integrity Policy for Zero Corruption

On 8 February 2022, a press conference was held in the premises of the Municipality of Aerodrom indicating the beginning of the realization of the project: "Creating a European Municipality: Integrity Policy for Zero Corruption", which is implemented by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with The Faculty of Law "Iustinianus Primus" and the Municipality of Aerodrom.

Future cooperation between municipalities and private entrepreneurs

On December 9th, 2021 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung together with the German-Macedonian Business Association organized a panel discussion on the topic: “Future cooperation between municipalities and the private entrepreneurs”. The aim of the event was to offer an exchange platform on which the newly elected mayors in the country had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the member companies of the German-Macedonian Business Association and to find out about the needs of the economy.
