The forum aims to encourage discussion on the role of the Assembly in the Republic of North Macedonia’s democracy, as well as the role of the legislature in the process of creating a democratic and independent state.

Honorary guests and speakers at the 5. Macedonian-German Forum will be Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and former President of the German Bundestag (address via video conference), and Mr. Goran Misovski, Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Ms. Marion Walsmann, Member of the European Parliament / Vice-Chair of the Joint Parliamentary Committee of the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, will also take part in the panel discussion on “30 years of independence – the role of the Assembly in democracy”, besides the MPs from the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The analysis “30 years of independence” will be promoted within the 5. Macedonian-German Forum.

Simultaneous interpretation into Macedonian, Albanian, German and English will be provided at the event.

The event will be organized in accordance with all security protocols for protection against coronavirus.
