On this occasion we will also use the opportunity to preset to the wider public our latest publication with the title Navigating multipolarity: Southeast Europe in the EU’s China Strategy.

The key points of the publication will be presented by one of the authors of the Publication, Ana Krstinovska from the Association for strategy development, research, education, and promotion of international values ESTIMA.

After the presentation of the paper a reflection to the topic will be given by Davor Ivo Stier (Video Adress), the Member of the European Parliament; Thomas Yoshimura, Policy Advisor for Asia and Pacific (China) at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. – Berlin; Konstantinos Tsimonis, Assistant Professor in Chinese Politics, Panteion University Athens - IDIS China program lead and Anastas Vangeli, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana.

*The paper published by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and the Think-Tank ESTIMA at hand examines how Southeast European (SEE) countries navigate their relations with China within a rapidly changing international order. It highlights how domestic politics, regional dynamics, and global shifts influence these countries’ positions towards Beijing and alignment with the European Union (EU). While most SEE states maintain a formal commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration, their approaches to China reveal significant variations, ranging from pragmatic caution to active strategic alignment.*

Working languages of the event will be Macedonian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
