This Political Academy is designed as a combination of civic and political education as well as training for leader-ship skills. Its main purpose is to strengthen the knowl-edge and the roles of mayors and counsellors in the mu-nicipalities in the Republic of Macedonia.

The Academy will bring together active party members and mandate holders who strive for a democratic, trans-parent and efficient policy on a local level, close to the citizens.

The Political Academy provides the participants with theo-retical and practical knowledge in order to improver their skills for the political work on a local level.

Aims of the Academy

Specific aims

Participants increase their knowledge of local policy mak-ing.

Participants acquire knowledge and skills about political communication on a local level.

Participants use the acquired skills and knowledge to influence the sustainable and efficient development of good local self government.

Target groups

Mayors, mandate holders and politicians of local level.
