Strengthening the capacities of the MPs

In times of global democratic challenges, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation aims to increase the capacities of the highest political representatives of the citizens to improve their communication with the citizens, strategic thinking and positioning in the Parliament and offering measures and policies to deal with the challenges.

The three-day event will address topics such as the role of the Parliament in times of contemporary challenges to democracy, strategic planning of communications and efficient models of public relations, ethics in communication, relations with the media, social media and their use for effective communication with different target groups, as well as strategic positioning of MPs in the Parliament.

The training seminar will be opened by Daniel Braun, Official representative of KAS, and the attendees will be also addressed by Marion Walsmann, Member of the European Parliament and Hristijan Mickoski, President of VMRO-DPMNE.

After the welcoming addresses, there will be a panel discussion on the topic “The role of the Assembly in times of the current democracy challenges” on which Nikola Micevski, Coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE Parliamentary Group, Zaklina Peshevska, MP and President of Women Union of VMRO-DPMNE and Stefan Andonovski, Head of Party Research and Analytical Centre "Ljubisha Georgievski" will take part.
