The initiative will bring together experts in the field of security and international relations from the region. i.e. North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, as well as from Germany, in order to exchange views and to discuss the current security challenges for the region as well as Europe in light of the ongoing war aggression in Ukraine, i.e. the different foreign influence operations and propaganda as a threat for democracy, peace and stability.
Following speakers will have their addresses during the official opening of the event:
Daniel Braun, Official Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Office in North Macedonia and Kosovo;
Nikola Jankulovski, Rector of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Skopje;
Ratko Duev, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Skopje;
Slavjanka Petrovska, Minister of Defense;
H.E. Larysa Dir, Ambassador of Ukraine to Republic of North Macedonia;
Eric Meyer, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim; Embassy of the United States of America to Republic of North Macedonia;
Florian Träger-Steintjes, Head of Culture Department at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to Republic of North Macedonia.
Introductory words will be given by Prof. Marjan Gjurovski from the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje.
Working languages of the event will be Macedonian and English (simultaneous translation will be provided).
