Felix Dane, Director of the KAS Ramallah, welcomed the visiting group and presented the work of the KAS and their partners in the Palestinian Autonomous Territories. Especially the engagement of the KAS Ramallah in the field of political education attracted great interest. Furthermore, Mr. Dane explained the local political and social situation to the group and highlighted existing educational opportunities.

Subsequently, a member of the Negotiation Support Unit of the PLO informed the group about the positions of the Palestinians concerning the peace negotiations. Thus the visiting group gained a profound insight into the difficulties of the Israeli settlements in the West Bank, the separation barrier, the question of Jerusalem and the currently gridlocked situation.
