Graduation Ceremony of the “Democracy in the Palestinian Institutions and the Electoral System” training course

The Institute for Community Partnership, Bethlehem University in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ramallah held a graduation ceremony for the training course “Democracy in the Palestinian Institutions and the Electoral System” in 3 cities of: Ramadin, Karmah, and Surif south of Hebron. The course aimed to strengthen the role of Palestinian women in the community and the Political Life, and encouraged them to participate in the Elections.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Father Peter Bray, Senior Vice President of Bethlehem University, Mr. Mousa Rabadi, Director of the Institute for Community Partnership, Dr. Michael Sansour, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University, and Mr. Felix Dane, the Resident Representative of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ramallah.

Father Bray stressed that Bethlehem University has been working for 40 years in the education sector in the Palestinian Territories, and now through the Institute for Community Partnership, it is serving the Palestinian community and individuals by their training and educational courses.

Mr. Rabadi said that the Palestinian women participation in the political life is essential because they are the backbone of their society.

Mr. Dane said that Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung supports the right of the Palestinian women that are 50% of the Palestinian society. It is very important for women to participate in the political life and elections for building a Palestinian state.

The majority of the participants stressed on the importance of the course.

In the end, certificates were distributed among participants in the presence the Mayor of Surif, the President of the local villages and a number of locals attending the ceremony.
