The educational tour of 14 young Palestinian journalists to Germany had to be cancelled due to the ban on flying in Europe, which was caused by the ash cloud that erupted from the volcano Eyjafjallajökull. Under the direction of project manager Ilona Stettner, the participants travelled to Amman, Jordan on Saturday in order to fly to Berlin from there. After having waited three days in Amman, the group returned to Ramallah on Tuesday. The young journalists would have seen the “Morgenmagazin of ZDF”, the German Parliament and the Federation of German Newspaper Publishers alongside other interesting visits.
