Working for Peace and Security with Young People – SIPODI & RAMP-Benin
The SIPODI Regional Programme and its partner RAMP-Benin continue their commitment to training young people on peace and security. The second stage of the One Hundred Women, Youth for Peace and Security programme took place in Dassa-Zoumè.
Held from 11 to 15 August 2025, the training brought together 25 young participants (60% men, 40% women). Discussions highlighted UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 2250, underlining the vital role of women and youth in peacebuilding in West Africa.

Contemporary Challenges: How climate change exacerbates local tensions, equitable resource management, and the role of culture and spirituality in fostering social cohesion.
Lasting Commitment
At the end of the training, participants received certificates as a symbol of their dedication to peace. Initiatives such as the one in Dassa offer continued support to youth engagement in peacebuilding. SIPODI West remains committed to integrating young people into peace and stability efforts across West Africa.
