1st KAS Women in Security&Foreign Affairs Workshop 2025 “EMPOWER. CONNECT. LEAD!” (31.05.2025, Istanbul)
The “1st Women in Security&Foreign Affairs Workshop 2025” was organized by KAS Türkiye to reframe gender perspectives in foreign and security policy through more inclusive and diverse dialogue. This new initiative addressed the underrepresentation of women from varied backgrounds in global networks - and the need for trusted spaces that foster professional growth, network opportunities and solidarity.
Bringing together female diplomats, policymakers, academics, journalists, business leaders, and advocates, the workshop establishes the beginning of a platform for mentoring, career support, and strategic cooperation. With annual gatherings designed to sustain engagement, the goal is clear: to amplify women’s voices, strengthen collaboration, and cultivate a truly global network for women, by women.
KAS Türkiye will continue to support this effort by facilitating ongoing dialogue, building partnerships, and expanding the reach of this growing network. Through continued collaboration and commitment, the initiative aims to shape a more inclusive future for foreign and security policy - one where women are not just participants, but central to the conversation and solutions.
