Digital Transformation, Engagement, and Good Governance in a Changing World - Best Practices for Türkiye Workshop

Jointly organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Türkiye Office and the Agora Research Center for Geopolitical, Environmental, Security and Strategic Studies (ARGESS), the “Digital Transformation, Engagement, and Good Governance in a Changing World - Best Practices for Türkiye Workshop” was held in İzmir between 4–6 June 2026.
The workshop brought together academics, researchers and practitioners to discuss the impact of digital transformation on governance processes in Türkiye, the future of public participation, and the importance of multi-stakeholder cooperation. Throughout the program, participants engaged in a rich learning experience through instructional sessions, interactive group work, simulations and hands-on workshops.
Current approaches to digital governance, public participation, countering disinformation, crisis management and co-governance tools were explored in depth. Participants had the opportunity to examine the multifaceted effects of digital transformation on governance both theoretically and in practice.
In addition, digital public consultation simulations and project design exercises enabled participants to apply the knowledge gained during the workshop, further enhancing the program’s interactive dimension.
