African Voices in Focus at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference 2025

KAS Media Africa supports eight journalists at a landmark gathering for global investigative reporting - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

From 20 to 24 November, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hosted the Global Investigative Journalism Conference 2025, the world’s largest gathering of investigative journalists. With the highest-ever African participation, KAS Media Africa proudly supported eight journalists to attend. The conference underscored the shared challenges facing investigative reporters worldwide, the urgent need to counter disinformation, and the power of collaboration. More than 1,500 participants from 135 countries came together to learn, connect, and strengthen the global investigative community

Cadenabbia Leadership Forum for Public Service Media from Africa and Europe

The event was held at Villa la Collina on Lake Como, the former summer residence of German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, from 6-7 November 2025

The Forum was held in collaboration with the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and gathered 19 leaders from public service media from Africa and Europe.

From 23rd to 25th of October, KAS Media Africa supported journalists from Ethiopia, South Africa, and Mauritius to participate in the 2025 World Congress of the International Press Institute (IPI) in Vienna. The Congress, marking IPI’s 75th anniversary, gathered over 600 media professionals from more than 100 countries to address the evolving challenges and opportunities facing independent journalism.
