The Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP) is an independent, neutral and bipartisan research institute in Phnom Penh. The CICP promotes national as well as regional dialogue between government representatives, national and international institutions, scholars and representatives of the private sector. Focused on the fields of peace, democracy, civil society, security and foreign policy, conflict resolution and economics, the CICP is positioned in a broad context, providing special expertise. Together with the CICP, KAS in Cambodia has, over many years, developed a mutual understanding as project partners. This can be seen in the execution of common projects such as international conferences on topics concerning the role of Cambodia in international relations.

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

The Toul Sleng Genocide museum in Phnom-Penh is one of the major places of remembrance for the regime of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. In cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Cambodia, a weeklong youth workshop on peace building and responsibility is held annually. At this opportunity, the participants are introduced to the concept of peace building and the role of youth in the process of reconciliation.

Ministry of Interior

The Cambodian Ministry of Interior has a vast scope of responsibilities. From regulating and leading the Cambodian police, ensuring internal peace and security to infrastructural development and fighting poverty. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) cooperates with and advises the ministry at establishing ombudsman offices throughout the country as well as improving the administrative infrastructure on a sub-national level. KAS has actively contributed to the lowering of bureaucratic hurdles.

Ministry of Education Sport and Youth
The ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has made it its goal to prepare Cambodia’s young generation for the future in the best possible way. To achieve this the access to education has to be massively improved. Hence the ministry is eagerly engaged in developing a better educational infrastructure throughout the country. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung cooperates with the Ministry to improve civic education classes in schools.

Politikoffee

Politikoffee
Politikoffee is a weekly discussion round, organised and executed entirely by young, engaged and driven Cambodians. At their weekly talks, topics ranging from politics to culture and economics are presented by an external speaker before an open discussion commences. Politikoffee offers a unique platform where interested Cambodians can exchange ideas and opinions.

International Relations Institute of Cambodia (IRIC)

IRIC
The International Relations Institute of Cambodia (IRIC) is a governmental research institution and part of the Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC). IRIC is academically independent and devotes its research towards topics concerning Cambodia’s foreign policy as well as topics which have a great impact on social and societal relevance. To enhance this research, national and international scholars are brought together for IRIC’s research projects. These research projects almost always aim at policy proposals for Cambodia. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) cooperates with IRIC on many projects, e.g. on conferences and publications.

Ministry of Justice

Ministry of Justice MoJ
The Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia is tasked with administering the legal courts and training its civil servants. Thus the ministry plays a central role in realizing a strong and modern constitutional state and the rule of law. Together the Ministry of Justice and the KAS conduct the Legal Aid Program to improve knowledge and skills of employees, officials and lawyers, for example by organizing seminars and symposia.

Energy Lab
EngeryLab was founded in order to further clean energy and coaches start-ups that work to promote ecological electricity, especially in the early phases of establishing their business. This supports ranges from placement of interns and help with optimizing a business plan to a full-fledged incubation program for sustainable energy-entrepreneurs. Furthermore EnergyLab hosts multiple co-working spaces and thus provides an opportunity for combined work and mutual exchange.
