the 2021 KAS-EUCERS Energy Trialogue between Australia, Germany and Japan, concerned with the emerging hydrogen economies in these countries. Whilst the focus of the first virtual seminar (a closed expert discussion) was on the 3 countries’ shared interests, the second virtual seminar focusses on one of those shared interests, namely the certification of hydrogen.

Dialogue on Joint Responses to Large Scale Cyber Incidents

The annual KAS Australia-Europe 1.5 track Cybersecurity Dialogue, this year already in its third iteration, aims to bring together senior government representatives, policy makers, academic experts, practitioners and members of the diplomatic corps to share their views, develop better understandings and explore how cooperation could be strengthened. Usually, this is achieved through a combination of roundtables, an in-depth seminar and meetings at various relevant institutions and ministries, as well as the respective federal, state and EU Parliaments – alternating between Canberra/Sydney and Berlin/Brussels as locations.

EIN GESPRÄCH MIT DEN VERTEIDIGUNGSMINISTERINNEN VON AUSTRALIEN UND DEUTSCHLAND

Das Regionalprogramm Australien und Pazifik der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung brachte in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) Bundesverteidigungsministerin Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer und ihre australische Amtskollegin Linda Reynolds für ein virtuelles Gespräch über die künftige Strategie im Indo-Pazifik und das Potenzial der australisch–deutschen Verteidigungsbeziehungen zusammen. Das Gespräch moderierten Peter Jennings, Direktor des ASPI und Dr. Beatrice Gorawantschy, Leiterin des Regionalprogramms Australien und Pazifik der KAS.
