The workshop was dedicated to 100 years of Belarus state independence declaration that will be celebrated in 2018. During the workshop a review of state building processes in Belarus was delivered by Pavel Tereshkovich (Belarusian ethnologist, historian and cultural anthropologist). The role and history of the only independent Belarusian language newspaper was discussed by Andrey Dynko (Belarusian journalist and chief editor of the oldest Belarusian weekly newspaper, Naša Niva, and one of the editors of the magazine Arche). During the debate that followed up presentations, ideas about how could the international community contribute to 100 years of independent Belarus anniversary were discussed.

In addition to the main topic of the seminar, a presentation on the topic "Eurasian Conformity: conflict with the trend towards integration or the game of imitation" was given by Roza Turarbekova. Anna Kanopatskaya, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the VI convocation (2016-2020), presented her work as the only opposition member of parliament.

The workshop was closed by presentations of Andrianos Giannou who presented the work of the Young European People’s Party and Rebeka Kiršteina who presented the work of the youth organization "Unity" (Riga, Latvia).

The seminar receives financial support from the European Parliament. Sole liability rests with the organizer, the European Parliament is not responsible for the activity.
