From November 7 to 9, 2025, the National Political Championship – Youth Edition took place at the Palais des Congrès – Le Bouregreg in Rabat. Organized in cooperation with the Istiqlal Party and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), the event aimed to inspire young people from across Morocco to actively engage in politics, democracy, and civic life.

More than 1,700 young participants took part in 12 regional qualifying rounds held across Morocco. From these regional competitions, the top 50 participants from all regions gathered in Rabat for the weekend’s final programme- a dynamic and interactive event combining competition, learning, and political dialogue.

The programme featured a diverse range of activities: from political and historical quiz sessions to group challenges addressing real social and political issues- such as combating corruption or improving the healthcare system- to engaging “pitch sessions,“ where the final five contestants presented their political concepts and tried to convince the audience to “elect” them as ministers.

A particular highlight of the event was the participation of Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, who took the time to speak with the young participants and listen to their innovative ideas for Morocco’s future.

The jury, composed of professors from the University of Rabat, evaluated the contestants’ performances during the semifinals, in which each team had three minutes to present its proposed solutions to pressing political challenges. In the final round, with only five candidates remaining, the audience anonymously voted for the most convincing political concept and thus selected the winner of the competition.

Amid great applause, the Champion 2025 was crowned and awarded the winner’s trophy. The other finalists received medals and certificates of participation in recognition of their engagement and commitment.

The National Political Championship introduced an innovative and interactive format that combines political education with fun, creativity, and competition. It demonstrates the growing interest of young Moroccans in active political participation and highlights the importance of providing them with opportunities to contribute to the country’s democratic development.
