The RDPWL held a Democracy Leadership workshop in Windhoek on 28 Feb – 01 March 2020 to encourage and prepare women to take up leadership positions in society. The workshop was attended by 15 participants from 7 regions. Topics addressed during the workshop included the following:
Leadership and cognitive complexity
Knowledge, integration and outcomes
Civic engagement
Interpersonal and intra-personal competence
Practical competence
Participants expressed happiness with the workshop and the new skills they learned. A participant from Zambezi region stated, “I am empowered and I will work hard to make a difference in my community”. Participants thanked the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for their contribution to democracy in Namibia over the years and for believing in them.
