KAS-TEP Session 3 Strengthens Civil Society Organisations

From 21–25 September 2026, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Namibia-Angola Office, through its Talent Empowerment Programme (TEP), will host its third capacity-building session for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Windhoek. The five-day programme will equip participants with practical skills to strengthen professional communication, accountability, civic engagement, digital visibility and organisational effectiveness. Facilitated by Hermien Elago, Elizabeth Djulume and Ester /Nanus, the sessions will cover sustainable relationship building, navigating difficult conversations, the role of CSOs as watchdogs, strategic relationship building, and communication for public engagement. A key focus of the programme will be strengthening the digital capacity of CSOs. Participants will explore digital visibility and organisational identity, audience and stakeholder mapping, social media strategy, ethical communication, storytelling for impact, and low-cost tools for creating engaging digital content. The programme will also introduce digital performance tracking and 90-day communication action planning. Participants will further have the opportunity to tour Parliament and engage with issues relating to lobbying, advocacy and civil society participation in national development. The final day will focus on the Civil Society Partnership and Engagement Policy and how CSOs can become active partners in Namibia’s national development process. KAS-TEP Session 3 forms part of KAS’s ongoing commitment to strengthening civil society and empowering emerging leaders with the skills and practical tools needed to contribute to good governance, democratic participation and sustainable development in Namibia.
