West Visayas State University (WVSU), together with the Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Philippines, invites students, faculty, researchers, and members of the community to the 2026 PPSA Presidents’ Lecture Series on Philippine Democracy on September 24, 8:30 AM - 12 NN, at the WVSU Main Campus in the Rehearsal Room.
The forum will feature Jorge V. Tigno, DPA, Professor of Political Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman and former PPSA president, who will lead a discussion on “Philippine Democracy: How Democratic? How Resilient?” The lecture is part of PPSA’s 65th founding anniversary celebration and a nationwide series that brings conversations on Philippine democracy closer to communities across the country.
