German Parliamentary Scholarship 2023 - Regionalprogramm Energiesicherheit und Klimawandel Naher Osten und Nordafrika
The German Bundestag invites you to Berlin for four weeks in September. The programme is aimed at young women and men from the Arab world who are interested in politics and want to become actively involved in promoting democratic values in their home country.
The German Bundestag offers these youth the opportunity to learn about the German parliamentary system and the political decision-making processes in the Bundestag in a condensed programme. During a one-week traineeship with a Member of Parliament, they are able to follow the day-to-day work of a Member of Parliament at close quarters and come into contact with policy-makers.
Successful candidates will be chosen by the German Bundestag independent selection panel.
Participants receive a scholarship of 700 euros. In addition, accommodation in an apartment complex will be provided free of charge, reimbursement of travel expenses to and from Berlin, health insurance and accident/liability insurance.
Conditions for participation:
- Citizenship of an Arab country;
- Under 35 years of age at the start of the scholarship;
- University degree;
- Good knowledge of German (level B2);
- Interest in politics and social/political commitment.
