Film premiere "Parallel Lives"

On September 14, the KAS Albania Office hosted a reception on the occasion of the visit of Dieter Althaus, former Prime Minister of Thuringia and member of the Board of Directors of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. As part of the reception, we also presented the premiere of the film "Parallel Lives" to the guests at the museum "Haus der Blätter".

The short film, produced by Alex P. and supported by KAS, tells the stories of two artists who lived thousands of kilometers apart and yet experienced similar fates. Two different lives, both victims of communist persecution.

On the one hand, the story of the little-known Albanian soprano Merita Sokoli, on the other hand, that of the renowned Soviet tenor Vadim Kozin. Their stories remind us that dictatorships always show the same face, regardless of geographical boundaries.
