From October 13 to 17, the office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Albania in cooperation with the Departament of History of the University of Tirana organized the Autumn School with the theme "Albania in the Cold War: Fortification – Bunkerization – Isolation".
The event opened in the "Konrad Adenauer" auditorium of the Faculty of History and offered a series of lectures aimed not only at history students, but also at students from other disciplines interested in the history of the Cold War in Albania. In addition to the academic part, practical learning also played an important role: the participants visited the museum "House of Leaves" and Bunk'Art 1 and went on study excursions to Sazan Island, Porto Palermo and the Pashaliman naval base. The school concluded with a workshop where students presented their research papers on the specific features of the Cold War in Albania. At the end, three awards were given for the best student papers, supported by KAS.
