The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Institute for Democracy, Media and Culture present the 11th edition of the Days of Remembrance, which will take place from 19 to 21 February in Tirana. This platform brings together key organizations and institutions working in the field of memory to reflect on the consequences of the communist dictatorship in Albania.

Stage presentation and reading of the novel “Manual Rrëzimi”
A multidisciplinary performance by young drama students from the Faculty of Arts, exploring the symbolic, emotional and civic dimensions of bringing down a monument in a society confronting its past.
20 February | Roundtable Discussion
“Falling Symbols, Experiences of Transformation”
An international dialogue with participants from Albania, Hungary, Poland, Germany and Romania on how societies confront and transform their historical narratives.
20 February | Film Screening “Goodbye Lenin”
A powerful cinematic reflection on the enduring presence of symbols, habits and mentalities of the dictatorship era in post communist life.
21 February | Online Lab “Roots and Reels”
An international history competition for young digital storytellers. An online brainstorming session guided by the question, “Which stories from the past speak to you today?”
