Only a few hours before the crucial EU-Turkey Summit on Migration, KAS and Navarino Network put together a public event on "Greece and Turkey Facing the Migration Challenge".

The speaker were:

  • Vassilis Kikilias, MP, New Democracy Coordinator for Migration Policy, Athens
  • Angelos Syrigos, Assistant Professor, Panteion University, Athens
  • Ercan Mutlu, Advisor, Department for Migration and Humanitarian Aid, Prime Minister’s Office, Ankara
  • Can Ünver, Vice President, Turkish Foundation for Services to the Society (TOVAK), Ankara
  • Alexandra Stiglmayer, Senior Analyst, European Stability Initiative, Brussels
The discussion was moderated by Dimitris Keridis.

On the same day, experts on migration from Greece and Turkey met in a closed workshop to discuss about challenges and opportunities in coordination.
