For the second time in a row, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Athens and the Navarino Network invited to the "Thessaloniki International Symposium in World Affairs" to Northern Greece.
On the topic "Greece in a World of Turbulence: the euro-crisis, Russia, Turkey and the Mediterranean" the main intervenants were the former Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel as well as the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Miguel Moratinos.
Scientific analysis of distinguished experts followed the two central speakers: Udo Zolleis of Tuebingen University shed light on the political situation in Germany after the federal elections and Kenneth Dyson, Cardiff University, analysed the dynamics of the euro crisis. "Turkey after Erdogan?" was the topic of Gareth Jenkins, Institute for Security and Development Policy, Stockholm. David Abulafia, University of Cambridge, lined outed the development of the Mediterranean area from the ancient world until today. Arkady Moshes of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs spoke about "Russia after Putin".
More than 500 guests followed the interventions of the international experts and seized the opportunity of questions and discussion.
