The deepening of the DPRD's tasks is an extension of the DPRD's competence, which consists of education and training, technical advice, workshops, workshops and seminars aimed at developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of DPRD members so that they can maximize their tasks in the exercise of their council functions.

The deepening of the duties of the DPRD members is an attempt to improve the understanding of the members of the Regional People's Assembly Council of the performance of their duties, functions, rights and duties as an element of the local government organization, but the authority of the DPRD is not the same as that of the regional leader, who has full authority in leading the government, the authority of the DPRD is limited to the exercise of its functions in accordance with the Law regulated by Law No. 23 of 2014, which states: "The DPRD has a function shaping the regional regulations, budget and supervision".

Of course, when you see the function of the DPRD, which is very strategic and very promising, a high level of competence is also required in the exercise of its focus and functions. The strategic role of the DPRD as a representative of the people is of course important as an introduction to the duties of all DPRD members to improve professionalism and competence, which leads to an improvement in services to the community.

Based on empirical considerations, it is the responsibility of all of us to make changes in the body of the institution. First, the character of the DPRD members, so that they can return to their nature as representatives of the people. One of the appropriate mediums for the transfer of knowledge and values to build a more trustworthy institution of the DPRD is to deepen the tasks of the DPRD, which will be carried out continuously during his term of office. Deepening this task is a means/medium to internalize national values, to provide an understanding of the DPRD's tasks and powers, so that it becomes more trustworthy and ambitious.

The deepening of the tasks is aimed at introducing the main duties and functions of DPRD members as elements of the local government organization, increasing the spirit of service to the nation and unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia, and increasing the understanding of the state ideology, constitution, spirit of patriotism and national insight, the aim is to realize synergies in the implementation of the main duties and functions of DPRD members.
