The panel covered the current state of work and employment trends for young people in Asia and identified the key challenges faced by young people regarding work and employment. This included issues like automation, the gig economy, the skills gap, and unemployment. The essential skills needed for future work in Asia were also discussed. Panellists also identified the skills that will be in high demand and how the education system can adapt to ensure young people are adequately prepared.
