The main lecture, delivered by Valon Canhasi, Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist and Founder of Hallakate and Shkolla AI, focused on the conference theme: EU Integration and Digital Transformation: Challenges for Kosovo’s Economy on the Road to the EU. The first workshop addressed the question What do we understand by digital transformation? and introduced participants to foundational concepts of digital change and institutional modernization.
After lunch, discussions continued with Kosovo’s potential in digital transformation and what this means for the EU integration process, where participants analyzed how digital infrastructure, innovation and governance reforms support EU alignment. This was followed by group work where alumni and scholars designed small-scale project proposals under the exercise Integrating digital technology in public institutions. During the afternoon, participants presented their projects, engaged in open discussion and concluded the day with a brief summary session before dinner.
The second day opened with a session on The Basics and Potential of Artificial Intelligence, where participants were introduced to AI fundamentals. Following a coffee break and check-out, the next session explored AI in Economy and EU Integration, addressing how emerging technologies influence competitiveness, public services and EU readiness.
After lunch, the program continued with workshops on AI Practical Applications, Ethics and Strategy, followed by a dedicated session on Generative Models and ChatGPT, where participants discussed opportunities, risks and real-world use cases. The event concluded with an open discussion, a summary of day two, and closing remarks accompanied by an interactive evaluation.
The alumni gathering strengthened the KAS Kosovo network, fostered new collaborations and provided a forward-looking exploration of how young professionals can contribute to Kosovo’s digital and European future.
