The New German Ambassador Gains Insight into the Work of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Croatia
On August 6, the newly appointed German Ambassador to Croatia, Prof. Dr. Pascal Hector, paid his inaugural visit to the KAS Office Croatia-Slovenia. Hector has been the official representative of the Federal Republic of Germany in Zagreb since August and was previously German ambassador to Denmark for several years. He succeeds Ambassador Dr. Christian Hellbach, who spent much of his diplomatic career in the Western Balkans and retired in June. Pascal Hector has worked on issues relating to European policy, European law, and international law for most of his career. He is an honorary professor at the Europa Institute in Saarbrücken, Germany. During his visit, the new ambassador received comprehensive information about the KAS country project Croatia-Slovenia and discussed key political challenges in Croatia with the director of the office, Dr. Norbert Eschborn, and his team. Both sides agreed to regular exchanges and cooperation in the future.
