The Importance of European Memory for the European Future: Communist Crimes

On June 22nd, 2022, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Faculty of Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb organized an international scientific conference in Zagreb on the subject: "The Importance of European Memory for the European Future: Communist Crimes". During the conference, scientists from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Slovenia discussed the crimes committed by the former communist regime in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The aim of this event was to try to locate the mass graves of Croats, but also of all other nations victims of the communist regime in Croatia and other countries of the former Yugoslavia, and to try to reconstruct the chain of command that led to these crimes.
