The discussion focused on bilateral relations between Slovenia and Germany, as well as Slovenia’s relations with the European Union. The political situation in Slovenia following the parliamentary elections held in spring 2026 was also discussed. The two interlocutors agreed that smaller EU member states, such as Slovenia, need to develop new and creative approaches and instruments to raise greater awareness of their interests and priorities at the European level.
