On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the existence of the Croatian County Association (CCA), the Konrad Adenauer Foundation organized organized together with the CCA a conference on “Future of local and regional democracy in Croatia” in Opatija on April 28th, 2023. With the participation of the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković, as well as representatives of counties and ministries, during the conference we discussed possibilities for better networking and cooperation between the counties as well as challenges of local and regional self-government in the future.
