On December 17, 2025, the International Peace Institute (IPI), in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung New York office, hosted a closed-door workshop to reflect on the deployment of the Gang Suppression Force (GSF) in Haiti, including efforts to promote the protection of civilians and coordination among key actors on the ground. Unraveling the Tactics and Methods Used in the Abduction of Ukrainian Children by Russia

The invasion of Ukraine entered its fourth year in 2025, leading to further displacement of people. On March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights. They are accused of committing the war crimes of unlawfully deporting children and unlawfully transferring children from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
