The workshop which will be facilitated by seasoned experts in security studies, strategy and management, aims at enhancing the capacity of administrators and lecturers from security training colleges / institutions in Nigeria as well as heads of departments for training at the national headquarters of the various security agencies. Participating institutions include the various training colleges of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, Department for State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) among others from across Nigeria. The major objective of this seminar is to further promote common understanding and enhance joint action planning in the development of roadmaps towards synchronizing methodologies, content and context in the various curriculum of the security training institutions. It will also seek to mainstream interagency collaboration, cooperation with civil society, democracy, rule of law and human rights in the curriculum of the colleges and operational procedures manuals of security agencies. The roundtable is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
