Ruprecht Polenz, chairman of the foreign committee of the German Bundestag visited the Palestinian Autonomous Territories during his stay in the region.

In the office of KAS Ramallah he received two briefings by referents of the PLO`s Negotiation Support Unit concerning current problems caused by the Israeli wall and checkpoints and problems in the water sector.

Afterwards, he was introduced to the work of KAS Ramallah by the head of office Felix Dane. Finally Mr Polenz was joint for dinner by Dr. Khalil Shikaki, Director of PSR, Prof. Ghassan Faramand, Director of the IOL and Bassem Khoury, former PA economy Minister- all partners of KAS Ramallah, and Gerhard Schlaudraff and Dr. Franziska Hagedorn from the German Representative Office in Ramallah.
