The promotion of the highest standards of judicial conduct and integrity in Asia has been one of key focus areas of the Rule of law Programme Asia since its inception.

It is based on this premise that a one-of-its-kind International Judicial Symposium was organized in co-operation with the Judicial Yuan of Taiwan, however with a more specific objective i.e. the adoption of judicial ethical rules especially the Bangalore principles, in various countries in this region.

Personalities especially involved in judicial education and training gathered in a two-day seminar that aimed towards institutionalizing judicial education exchange across Asia.
