Expert conference

Democracy and prosperity in Sub-Saharan Africa

The conference of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Sub-Saharan Africa with more than 250 parliamentarians from 17 African and European countries deals with the chances and possibilities of parliamentarians from Africa and Europe contributing to democracy and prosperity in Africa.

"In times of globalization, it is obvious that solely regional issues hardly exist anymore. African challenges are equally European challenges - and vice versa." Prof Dr Norbert Lammert

Parliaments are key democratic institutions and play a crucial role in tackling a growing number of global challenges.
Giving recognition to this fact, we are holding our first KAS Subsaharan-Africa Conference in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, from 1-3 May.

The event will bring together Parliamentarians from all over Africa and Europe in order to discuss the important role that they play in the fostering of #AfricanDemocracy and prosperity.
