This roundtable provides an opportunity for academics, community-based organizations, non-governmental organizations, policy makers and stakeholders to discuss the impact of the activities of corporations for the realisation of human rights in South Africa. It will also include a discussion on accountability mechanisms for ensuing that the activities of corporations are respectful of human rights. And then turns to the ways the citizens, civil society and government can cooperate in implementing the engagement requirements to foster democratic enforcement of socioeconomic rights.
